On Amager in Copenhagen S, we were tasked with establishing a Spiral Cellar , which with its 3 meter depth is the deepest we can make. the cellar has a capacity of 1870 bottles and is located in the entrance hall of the house, which after this installation can probably be upgraded to be called a 'Hall'.
The hatch is a round, motorized glass trap door with a frame (discontinued design) and as something very special, we had the glass for this cellar hatch custom-made in China. At the push of a button, the glass becomes completely milky white and thus opaque. Press it again and the glass is completely clear.
We have used this project several times to show the Spiral Cellar to new customers. Fortunately, we are in contact with the owner of this cellar from time to time and are happy to note that the enthusiasm is still intact, even though it was established back in 2013: "every time I go down to my wine cellar, I smile".
