the cellar This is made as part of an extensive renovation of a villa beautifully located by the lake. Before the start of the project, we had a geotechnical report prepared, which, as expected, showed that we should expect high-level groundwater and even small streams under the house. With the water level so high, we were aware that the process would be a challenge and that we would most likely not be able to make the deepest of our cellars.
Once the hole is lined with the waterproofing membrane and the cast floor in the hole has hardened up, we can build the cellar up module by module and the water will no longer be a nuisance to the process and will never be able to penetrate the membrane, so the cellar remains dry for the rest of its life.
