In connection with landscaping the garden and establishing an orangery, the idea was to use the opportunity to bury a Spiral Cellar at the same time, so that it could descend from inside the orangery.
The model is Original, 2.0m deep. The hatch is a Wooden trap door that we have chosen to insulate on the underside of the hatch. Temperatures in an orangery can range from freezing cold to scorching hot, and without insulation at the top, these differences will mean that condensation will accumulate at the top of the door. When the cellar is established inside a home, you have completely different stable temperatures across the top of the hatch, so condensation is not a challenge in such installations.
