This project was not an extension or new build, but a major upgrade to an existing utility room.
During the excavation work we encountered groundwater and it's actually not that unusual for this to happen. In these cases, we pump while digging and while the cellar is being built. Once the cellar is in place, the water around it has no practical significance. There is no risk of buoyancy of the cellar, as the cellar itself weighs too much for the water to have any significant impact. There is also no risk of water ingress as the membrane we line the hole with before the cellar is built is a patented and 100% waterproof solution that keeps all moisture out.
The model is White with a depth of 2.25m with a bottle capacity of 1360 bottles. The wine cellar is finished with a rectangular glass trap door with frame.
